A wonderfully decadent little shorty from Lise Charmel’s Tropique en Fleurs collection, combining rich botanical greens, flashes of tropical colour and the beautiful detailing that makes this French house so special.

The shorty sits low across the hips with a softly revealing cut across the bottom. Italian embroidery, lace and natural silk satin are combined with delicate sheer sections, while the back is finished with a beautiful embroidered detail. 

Why we love it

This collection really does look special in person. The deep green is much richer than a conventional floral print, and the combination of silk, lace and embroidery makes it feel properly luxurious.

The shorty is also a lovely alternative if you don’t want either the fuller high-waisted brief or the more revealing Italian brief.

A shorty should skim your bottom, not squeeze it. If the back edge cuts in, you’ll actually see more of it beneath clothing.

This XL is particularly useful for someone who wants a little more coverage across the hips while still having something rather gorgeous underneath.
