A beautifully romantic half-cup bra from one of Lise Charmel’s most recognisable lace collections.

Sublime en Dentelle combines fine Calais-Caudry lace, sheer tulle and intricate floral embroidery to create a light, almost couture-like effect. In Rose Sublime, the soft powder-pink colour gives all that detail a delicate, vintage feel rather than looking overly sweet. 

Why we love it

This is proper luxury lingerie, but it is also a very good bra.

The horizontal half-cup construction gives a beautifully rounded neckline, while the underwiring, lined cups and side reinforcement give more support than the delicate appearance suggests. The little crystal detail at the centre is the finishing touch. 

The Amélie Tip

Half-cup bras work particularly well under square necks, sweetheart necklines and lower-cut dresses because they lift from underneath without covering too much of the upper breast.

With this 36D, the cup should give a smooth rounded line with no bulging over the embroidered edge. If the centre sits away from the chest or the top edge cuts in, the issue is more likely cup size than band size.
