One of Lise Charmel’s iconic lingerie collections, Soir de Venise is wonderfully opulent. Inspired by the romance and extravagance of Venice, it combines fine lace, embroidered tulle and ornate guipure with tiny sparkling details.

This is the mini string, a low-rise, beautifully revealing shape with intricate lace at the front and a minimal sheer back. Satin bow detailing, the little Venetian mask jewel and hand-applied sparkle give it that unmistakably extravagant Lise Charmel finish. 

Why we love it

This isn’t a basic red thong. Rouge Venise is a fabulous, rich red, and when you look closely the detailing is extraordinary.

It’s also part of a longstanding Lise Charmel collection rather than a throwaway seasonal design, which makes an unworn Archive piece particularly lovely.

The Amélie Tip

A mini string is a great choice beneath fitted dresses and trousers because there’s very little fabric at the back to create a visible line.

But don’t size down to make a thong disappear. The waistband should sit completely flat against the hips without digging in. This one is an L / FR 42.
