From the Archive | French Luxury Lingerie

This one is gorgeous. Delicate, almost invisible tulle becomes the canvas for tiny flowers scattered across the skin in pinks, blues and greens, creating the impression that the embroidery is floating.

The classic brief shape gives comfortable everyday coverage without losing any of the delicacy you’d expect from Lise Charmel. The front uses fine tulle and multicoloured floral embroidery, while the back is soft and stretchy. A cotton-lined gusset completes the design.

Why we love it

It looks almost hand-painted.

The barely-there background lets those tiny embroidered flowers take centre stage, and because the embroidery isn’t rigidly placed, each piece can vary slightly. It makes this feel much more special than an ordinary floral brief.

The Amélie Tip

Don’t save your beautiful knickers for “best”.

This is actually a very wearable shape. The soft stretch back gives you the comfort of an everyday brief, while the embroidered front makes it feel decidedly more special.

With something this sheer and delicate, I’d always recommend hand washing rather than putting it through a normal machine cycle.

From the Amélie Archive

Brand new and unworn, this is a beautiful piece from a previous collection that has been rediscovered in the boutique.

Our Archive is home to beautiful past-season lingerie, discontinued colours and those last few pieces that are simply too good to disappear into a stockroom.

Occasionally an Archive piece may have a missing or imperfect tag after being stored or displayed, but all pieces are new and unworn.

And quite often, there’s only one.
